Ok so this is an output/input question u will do 12.5 + 3.8(7.9) =x so in order to get x u will do 7.9 × 3.8 which gives u 29.64 then u will add that to 12.5 which gives u x = 46.14

If sin A + sin^3 A = cos^2 A, prove that cos^6 A - 4cos^4 A + 8cos^2 A = 4.
Sphinxa [80]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

sinA(1+sin^2A) = cos^2A

sinA(2 -cos^2A) = cos^2A

Squaring both sides,

sin^2A(4-4cos^2A +cos^4A) = cos^4A

(1-cos^2A)(4-4cos^2A +cos^4A) = cos^4A

4-4cos^2A +cos^4A-4cos^2A+4cos^4A-cos^6A = cos^4A

4 -cos^6A +4cos^4A -8cos^2A = 0

cos^6A - 4 cos^4A + 8cos^2A = 4

hence proveproven

A triangular playground has angles with measures in the ratio 8:3:9. What is the measure of the smallest angle? I need an explan
frozen [14]

Answer:

Measure of smallest angle will be 27 degrees.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are told that a triangular playground has angles with measures in the ratio 8:3:9 and we are asked to find out measure of smallest angle.

Since we know by the angle sum property that angles in a triangle add up to 180 degrees.

We can set an equation from our given ratio as:

8x+3x+9x=180^{o}

20x=180

x=\frac{180}{20}

x=9

Now we will find measure of our smallest angle by multiplying 3 by 9 as 3x will be smallest angle of our triangle.

3*9=27

Therefore, measure of the smallest angle will be 27 degrees.

I'm not sure but I think that he had $240 in his savings account. I not sure if the method I used is correct so look at someone else's answer if they have a different amount of money.

Two balls are drawn in succession out of a box containing 5 red and 5 white balls. Find the probability that at least 1 ball was
Lera25 [3.4K]
Check the tree diagram of the problem:

The first ball can be either Red or Blue, the second ball can either be Red or Blue.

The branches represent all possible scenarios.

For example, consider the upper branch, the case when both balls are blue:

The first ball is Blue, probability 5/10, the second ball is Blue, probability 4/9 because now there are 4 left blue balls, and 9 balls in total, after we picked the first blue.

The other branches have the same logic.

The question is not completed so we have 2 cases:

"Find the probability that at least 1 ball was red, given that the first ball was red"

here we add the separate probabilities of (R, R) and (R, B)

P(R,R)+P(R,B)=2/9 + 5/18 =  4/18  +5/18= 9/18=0.5

"Find the probability that at least 1 ball was red, given that the first ball was blue"

probability is P(B, R)=5/18=0.28
