The answer is 117.5 because to find the interquartile range first u need to find the median. Then you fave to find the lower quartile which is 125 and thenearest u need to find the upper quartile which is 242.5. Finally u subtract 242.5 by 125 to get 117.5.
Hope it helped

How many meters did a fish swim in 8 minutes at a speed of s meters per minute?
ch4aika [34]

Answer:

Distance traveled by the fish = 8s meters

Step-by-step explanation:

Speed of a fish to swim = s meter per minute And formula used for the speed, Speed = s = Distance = s × time We have to find the distance covered by the fish in 8 minutes (t = 8 minutes) Therefore, Distance traveled by the fish = 8s meters

Suppose the life span of a calculator has a normal distribution with a mean of 60 months and a standard deviation of 8 months. W
rusak2 [61]

Answer:

Probability that the calculator works properly for 74 months or more is 0.04 or 4%.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that the life span of a calculator has a normal distribution with a mean of 60 months and a standard deviation of 8 months.

Firstly, Let X = life span of a calculator

The z score probability distribution for is given by;

         Z = \frac{ X - \mu}{\sigma} ~ N(0,1)

where, \mu = population mean = 60 months

            \sigma = standard deviation = 8 months

Probability that the calculator works properly for 74 months or more is given by = P(X \geq 74 months)

     P(X \geq 74) = P( \frac{ X - \mu}{\sigma} \geq \frac{74-60}{8} ) = P(Z \geq 1.75) = 1 - P(Z < 1.75)

                                                   = 1 - 0.95994 = 0.04

Therefore, probability that the calculator works properly for 74 months or more is 0.04 or 4%.
