The enzyme RNA polymerase creates an RNA molecule that is complementary to the template DNA coping all the information on the DNA into the mRNA formed and 3' to 5' cap are added to stabilize the RNA after which this mRNA then moves from the nucleus where it was produced to the ribosome in the cytoplasm for translation of the information that is coded in the bases.

FGF5 is a gene that is encoded in the DNA.
