Answer:

The correct answer is A. As a result of the election of 1912, the Progressive Party was formed.

Explanation:

The Progressive Party was an American political party founded in 1912 after disagreements had occurred within the Republican Party, as former President Theodore Roosevelt could no longer agree with the policy of the then president, William Howard Taft. The newly founded Progressive Party chose Roosevelt in 1912 as its presidential candidate. Roosevelt could not redeem the election (Woodrow Wilson won), but still finished second, ahead of Taft. In 1914, the Progressive Party only achieved a few election profits. The party was abolished in 1916 and two years later the elected members rejoined the Republicans.

Do the events surrounding the Election of 2000 justify changes to the Electoral College? Explain why it does or why it does not
docker41 [41]

No Gore did not win a mandate in 2000. He had only 48% of the popular vote which is not considered as a victory. He also lost many critical states which meant that he was not qualified to be president. Clinton failed to have a majority vote in 1992. However, he did win a plurality of the states and was suited to be president per the Electoral College.

Hope this helps you :P
