In a building a system is installed that uses the geothermal energy in summer to cool the building and the same energy to warm t
Inga [223]

A ground source heat pump takes advantage of the naturally occurring difference between the above-ground air temperature and the subsurface soil temperature to move heat in support of end uses such as space heating, space cooling (air conditioning), and even water heating. A ground source or geo exchange system consists of a heat pump connected to a series of buried pipes. One can install the pipes either in horizontal trenches just below the ground surface or in vertical boreholes that go several hundred feet below ground. The heat pump circulates a heat-conveying fluid, sometimes water, through the pipes to move heat from point to point.

this system works during the winter due to it being a sub-ground energy source.

What type of motion at a synovial joint does not involve the movement of a joint around an axis?
Naddik [55]

Answer:

Gliding

Explanation:

Gliding movements are one of the four major types of movements allowed by synovial joints. Gliding movement of synovial joints includes side to side and back and forth movements only. Gliding is a simple movement and moves the nearly flat bone surfaces back-and-forth and from side-to-side with respect to one another.

Since the angle between the bones mostly remain the same and there is no rotation, gliding movements do not involve the movement of the joint around an axis. Gliding movement exhibits limited range as exemplified by movement between flat articular processes of vertebrae.
