Answer:

1.) The correct answer is C; Catholics. In the Colonial times, the first settlement in Georgia was Savannah. This was the last colony of the original 13 to be founded in 1773. This was the only colony to have a ban on slavery from the start of the town. In addition to not allowing Catholics, they did not allow rum and lawyers.

2.) The correct answer is C; Teachers Pay was way, and farming was more profitable. Teachers did not want to come to the wilderness and teach since the pay was low and they could find higher paying jobs elsewhere. The children helped in the fields and helped to bring money to the homes of the parents and town. The families most likely thought their children would earn more money being farmers. Schools did open but it took 16 years before this would occur.

3.) The correct answer is B; Georgians had more leisure time. Because they owned big farms and then saw a gold rush in their area. They had hired help and then began to have more free time on their hands.

4.) The correct answers are B & C; the gateway to the backcountry was Augusta and Backcountry settlers only had themselves to reply on for survival. Since Savannah was remote at the beginning of the settlement, the men had to rely on ways to get their crops plants, hunt for food, and feed their children. Augusta was a larger city and had numerous professionals live there, which helped turn Savannah into a thriving community after a few years.

Hope this helps!

How are countries in the European union linked
jeka57 [31]
The EU is a political and economic union of 28 countries, which developed an internal single market through a standardised system of laws. Politically, these 28 countries are linked by the European Parliament, the European Commission, the Council of Europe and the European Council (the last two have similar names, but they have different functionalities). Economically, by the ECB - the European Central Bank. Monetarily, by the Eurozone and the currency EURO, which is present in 19/28 countries. Also, there's a Schengen area, where passports are abolished and you can travel freely, BUT not all the countries that are in the EU, are in Schengen area (ex. Romania, Bulgaria); and vice-versa: Norway is not in the EU, but is part of the Schengen area.

I hope I helped, I used to have a "map" of interactions of all these countries in different unions/institutions, but cannot find it. If you need one to help you understand the EU better, tell me and I'll intensively look for it!

Update: here's the map.
