Why is it important to drink plenty of warm fluids when exposed to cold temperatures? Warm fluids will warm your esophagus and s

tomach, making you feel warmer. Warm fluids are diuretics, so they cause you to lose the cold fluids in your body. You lose twenty percent of your heat from your head, so you must drink warm fluids to compensate for the heat loss. Fluids help you blood circulate efficiently which in turn helps your body to stay warm.
