Okay, so you could solve it this way:

First, you could find the area of the square.

Formula: (Width*Length)

Since all sides of a square are the same, we just do 14*14 which equals 196

Next, you find the area of the circle.

Formula: (sorry the order is weird)

r^{2} \pi

So the diameter is 14, to find the radius of the circle, we divide by 2 which is 7.

so we get 49pi.

Now to find the left over area, we SUBTRACT.

Square area = 196

Circle area = 49pi

196-49pi=42.14

ANSWER:

                 m∠1 = 60°

                 m∠2 = 60°

                 m∠3= 120°

EXPLANATION:

The purple arrows indicate that side are parallel, so we know that that triangle NMP is the same as triangle NOP. If they are they same then we know that ∠1 and ∠2 equal 60° since the opposing angles equal 60°.

For ∠3 we look at the opposing angle and now know it is 60°. Since ∠3 and the opposing angle make a straight line which equals 180°. We can figure out ∠3 by subtracting 60 from 180 = 120°.

EXPONENTIAL FUNCTIONS HELP Write the function for each graph described below. the graph of f(x) = 2x reflected across the x-axis
raketka [301]

Answer:

  • -2^x
  • (1/3)^x +5
  • 3^(x +2) -3
  • (1/2)^x -2
  • 4^(x/3)
  • 2^(x -3) +4

Step-by-step explanation:

In general, the transformation ...

  g(x) = f(x -h) +k

translates f(x) right h units and up k units.

The transformation ...

  g(x) = f(x/a)

stretches the graph horizontally by a factor of "a".

The transformation ...

  g(x) = -f(x)

causes the graph to be reflected over the x-axis.

___

Applying the above, we have ...

f(x) = 2^x reflected over x is g(x) = -2^x

f(x) = (1/3)^x translated up 5 is g(x) = (1/3)^x +5

f(x) = 3^x translated by (-2, -3) is g(x) = 3^(x +2) -3

f(x) = (1/2)^x translated down 2 is g(x) = (1/2)^x -2

f(x) = 4^x stretched horizontally by a factor of 3 is g(x) = 4^(x/3)

f(x) = 2^x translated by (3, 4) is g(x) = 2^(x -3) +4
