\bf slope = {{ m}}= \cfrac{rise}{run}\implies \cfrac{1}{20}
\\\\\\
\cfrac{\stackrel{height}{2.5}}{\stackrel{length}{x}}=\cfrac{\stackrel{rise}{1}}{\stackrel{run}{20}}\implies \cfrac{2.5\cdot 20}{1}=x

A set of average city temperatures in July are normally distributed
Archy [21]

Answer:

a) 59.87%

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that the mean temperature (μ) = 23.5°C and the standard deviation (σ) is 2 °C.

The z score is used in statistics to measure number of standard deviation by which the raw score is above or below the mean value, It is calculated using the equation:

z=\frac{x-\mu}{\sigma}

The average temperature of the City of Van Nuys is 23 degrees. The z score is

z=\frac{x-\mu}{\sigma}=\frac{23-23,5}{2} =-0.25

P(x > 23) = P(z > -0.25) = 1 - P(z < -0.25) = 1 - 0.4013 = 0.5987 = 59.87%

What is the domain and range of the function f(x) = x^2 -4x-5?
Tems11 [23]
F(x) = x²-4x-5, quadratic function,
Domain (the values if x) is all real numbers.

To find range we should draw a graph or to write an equation in vertex form.
f(x) = x²-4x+4-4-5
f(x) = (x-2)²-9
Point (-2,-9) is the vertex of the parabola, and it is a minimum because a parabola has positive sign in front of x², so it is looking up.  Minimum value of y =-9
Range(the values of y) is [-9, ∞)

What is the solution to a two-variable equation? pls answer
zloy xaker [14]
In general, a solution of a system in two variables is an ordered pair that makes BOTH equations true. In other words, it is where the two graphs intersect, what they have in common. So if an ordered pair is a solution to one equation, but not the other, then it is NOT a solution to the system

ella is making 3 batches of banana milkshake she needs 3/4 gallon of milk for each bath.Her measuring cup holds 1/4 gallon.How m
Dmitry [639]
1 batch need 3/4 gallon of milk

She has 1/4 gallon cup

(3/4) divided by (1/4)

A technique in math is just flip the divider which is (1/4) to (4/1)
so it becomes (3/4) multiply (4/1) = (3x4) / (4x1) = 12/4 = 3 times for one batch

She needs three batches so 3 x 3 = 9 times to fill the measuring cup to make all 3 batches of milkshake.
