No, she is not correct.

A "composite" is a number that can be divided evenly (no decimals) by something other than itself (43) and 1.

43 has no other numbers that can divide into it and leave it a whole number.

Two roller coasters are vying for the title of the steepest drop the first ride has a hill that drops 140 feet in a 40 foot run
muminat

Answer:

They have the same slope

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Coaster 1:

Drops = 140ft

Run = 40ft

Coaster 2:

Drops = 105ft

Run = 30ft

First, we calculate the slope (m) of both coasters

m = \frac{Rise}{Run}

m = \frac{Drops}{Run}

For coaster 1:

m = \frac{140ft}{40ft}

m = \frac{140}{40}

m = 3.5

For coaster 1:

m = \frac{105ft}{30ft}

m = \frac{105}{30}

m = 3.5

<em></em>m = m=>3.5 = 3.5<em></em>

<em>By comparison, they have the same slope</em>

How much salt should Ilya add to 810g of water to make 10% solution? How much solution will he make? Ilya should add __g of salt
Burka [1]

Answer:

90 g of water should be added and he will make 900 g of solution.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x g be the amount of salt Ilya add to 810g of water to make 10% solution. Then 810+x g is the amount of new solution. Thus,

810+x - 100%,

x - 10%.

Mathematically,

\dfrac{810+x}{x}=\dfrac{100}{10},\\ \\10(810+x)=100x,\\ \\8100+10x=100x,\\ \\100x-10x=8100,\\ \\90x=8100,\\ \\x=\dfrac{8100}{90}=90\ g.

So 90 g of water should be added and he will make 810+90=900 g of solution.
