In order for something to be a function

for every input or x value, there exists only a single output (or y value)

if you look at the points, are there any x values that have 2 different y values?
if yes, then no its not a function

No this data set is not a function because two points have x coordinates of 4

NEED HELP. LOOK AT PIC.
Sonja [21]

Answer:

x = 8/3

y = 7/3

Step-by-step explanation:

In a parallelogram the diagonals bisect each other.

So 2x = y + 3

x + y = 5

Then you set them up to do combination/elimination to solve for the two variables.

2x-y = 3

Then you add the two equations together

3x =  8

Solve for x

x = 8/3

Then solve for y by plugging it into a equation

x + y = 5

8/3 + y = 5

8/3 - 5 = -y

8/3 - 15/3 = -y

-7/3 = -y

y = 7/3

Answer:

mary would have a rise of 12 and a run of 4 , making her slope , or rate of change , $3 a day . julie would have a rise of 19 and a slope of 6 , making her slope , or rate of change , $3.17 a day , since julie is raising money at a faster rstr , she would get to the goal of $1,000 first.

Adam buys a bigger turkey than he needs the turkey he buys weighs 7kg the cooking instructions are:
DaniilM [7]
Given:
7 kg turkey

cooking instructions:
over 4kg allow 20 minutes per kg, plus 90 minutes
always leave the turkey to rest for 30 minutes before carving.

7kg * 20 minutes/kg = 140 minutes

140 minutes + 90 minutes = 230 minutes
230 minutes + 30 minutes rest = 260 minutes

260 minutes * 1hr/60 minutes = 4 hours 20 minutes

17:15 is 5:15 pm

17:15 - 4:20 = 12:55 pm

Adam should start cooking at 12:55 pm

Which expression represents the composition [g o f o h](x) for the functions below?
Brut [27]

Answer:

A

5(15x-4)^3

Explanation:

I assume you mean g(f(h(x))) so in that case here is how you do it:

So the first one is g(x) which is:

5x^3

Now g(f(x)) you just plug in f(x) for the x in the g equation. It would look like this:

5(5x-4)^3

Now the h(x) you would do the same, plug it in for all the values of x in g(x). So it would look like this:

5(5(3x)-4)^3

Since you simplify, you get 5(15x-4)^3

This final equation is g(f(h(x))) which is what you were looking for, which is A
