The amplitude of the voltage across an inductor can be greater than the amplitude of the generator EMF in an AC RLC circuit. Con
Degger [83]

Answer:

VL=2107.6v

Explanation:

at resonance xc=xL

1/wc = wL

z=R

because sqr(R^2+(xL-xc))

^

(xL=xc)

V/R=I

90/28.9=3.1142A

w=1/sqr(1.31×(2.86×10^-6))=516.63

xL= wL

xL= 516.63×1.31=676.785

VL=3.1142×676.785

VL=2107.6v

Does the temperature of a material always increase as it is heated? Explain briefly.
Lerok [7]
To answer your question, no,
temperature does not always increase as it is heated. Adding heat does not always increase the temp.
For example, when water is boiling, adding heat does not increase the temperature. This occurs at the boiling temp of every substance that can vaporize.

Hope this explanation was helpful and brief! :)

Suppose that there are two very large reservoirs of water, one at a temperature of 91.0 °C and one at a temperature of 17.0 °C.
stepan [7]

Answer:32.83

Explanation:

Given

T_H=91^{\circ}\approx 364 K

T_L=17^{\circ}\approx 290 K

Q=46830 J

Total Entropy change of system

\Delta s=-\frac{Q}{T_H}+\frac{Q}{T_L}

\Delta s=-\frac{46830}{364}+\frac{46830}{290}

\Delta s=-128.65 +161.48=32.83 J/K
