(3x + 2y = 8)X-3
-9x -6y = -18

(2x + 3y =2)X2

-9x -6y = -18
4x + 6y = 4
------------------
-5x + 0 = -14
-5x = -14
x = 14/5

If you wanted to find y
2y = 8 - 3(x)
2y = 8 - 3(14/5)
2y = -0.4
y = -0.2

I know this is a bit confusing, let me know if you need help :) also i hope this answered your question, sorry if it didn't xx

Answer:

1st problem: b) A=2500(1.01)^{12t}

2nd problem:  c) A=2500e^{.12t}

Step-by-step explanation:

1st problem:

The formula/equation you want to use is:

A=P(1+\frac{r}{n})^{nt}

where

t=number of years

A=amount he will owe in t years

P=principal (initial amount)

r=rate

n=number of times the interest is compounded per year t.

We are given:

P=2500

r=12%=.12

n=12 (since there are 12 months in a year and the interest is being compounded per month)

A=2500(1+\frac{.12}{12})^{12t}

Time to clean up the inside of the ( ).

A=2500(1+.01)^{12t}

A=2500(1.01)^{12t}

----------------------------------------------------

2nd Problem:

Compounded continuously problems use base as e.

A=Pe^{rt}

P is still the principal

r is still the rate

t is still the number of years

A is still the amount.

You are given:

P=2500

r=12%=.12

Let's plug that information in:

A=2500e^{.12t}.

Let's say we have a triangle with sides called a, b, and c, and that b is the base. Our triangle has a height that we'll call h.
Irina18 [472]

Answer:

16.34 square inches.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Base of triangle, b = 3 inches

Height of triangle, h = 10.89 inches

Question asked:

What is the area of this triangle in square inches?

Round your answer to the nearest hundredths place .

Solution:

As we know,

Area\ of\ triangle =\frac{1}{2} \times base\times height

                           =\frac{1}{2} \times3\times10.89\\\\ =\frac{32.67}{2} \\\\ =16.335

As, we have to find the answer to the nearest hundredths place, hence the area of triangle will be 16.34 square inches.
