Your equation would be like this:

y=11x+300

because 11 depends on 'X" how many miles he walks and then just add 300 to that because that is the fixed amount

I hope I've helped!

Classify the decimal forms of 3/12 and and 2/9 as repeating or as repeating or terminating.
andre [41]

Answer:

3/12: terminating; 2/9: repeating

Step-by-step explanation:

3/12=0.25 terminating as it has a finite number of digits after the decimal point.

2/9=0.222.... repeating decimal as its number is repeated indefinitely.

Work out the gradient of the line joining the points (2, 3) and (5,7)
Debora [2.8K]

Answer:

The gradient of the line joining the points P(x,y) = (2,3) and Q(x,y) = (5,7) is \frac{4}{3}.

Step-by-step explanation:

The gradient of the line joining two distinct point on a plane is represented by the slope of a secant line (m_{PQ}), that is:

m_{PQ} = \frac{y_{Q}-y_{P}}{x_{Q}-x_{P}} (1)

If we know that P(x,y) = (2,3) and Q(x,y) = (5,7), then the gradient of the line is:

m_{PQ} = \frac{7-3}{5-2}

m_{PQ} = \frac{4}{3}

The gradient of the line joining the points P(x,y) = (2,3) and Q(x,y) = (5,7) is \frac{4}{3}.
