Jenny's total earnings:

total earnings = (hours worked on design)*40 + (hours worked on maintenance)*35

average earnings = total earnings / hours worked

So far she has

total earnings = 18*40 + 20*35 = $1420

which is an average per hour = $1420/38hr = $37.37

How many more hours on webdesign: x

so that

($1420+x*$40)/(38+x)=38

Now solve for x - this I let you do. My results is x=12 (you can verify by plugging it iback into the equation).

The answer is Jenny needs to work 12 more hours to claim an average earnings of $38/hr. Lmk if you have questions.

The waiting time to ride a roller coaster is 20 minutes when 150 people are in line. How long is the waiting time when 240 peopl
laiz [17]

Answer: The waiting time will be 32 minutes when 240 people in line.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let us assume that the waiting time is directly proportional to the number of people in the queue.

Equation of direct proportion between variables x and y :  \dfrac{x_1}{y_1}=\dfrac{x_2}{y_2}

Put x_1=20,\ y_1=150,\ y_2=150  to find  x_2.

\dfrac{20}{150}=\dfrac{x_2}{240}\\\\\Rightarrow\ x_2=\dfrac{20}{150}\times240\\\\\Rightarrow\ x_2=32

Hence, the waiting time will be 32 minutes when 240 people in line.

A cylindrical specimen of cold-worked copper has a ductility (%el) of 25%. if its cold-worked radius is 10 mm, what was its radi
loris [4]

The radius of the cylinder before deformation is 7.5mm

<h3>Deformation of an object</h3>

From the given question, we are given that;

cold work radius of the cylinder is 10mm

Ductility = 25%

Determine the radius before deformation

Radius before deformation = (1-  0.5) + 10

Radius before deformation = 0.75 * 10

Radius before deformation = 7.5mm

Hence the radius of the cylinder before deformation is 7.5mm
