#4 and #5:
To find pH given concentration of H+ or H30+
pH = - log (H+ or H30+ M)

To find pH given concentration of OH-
Since you already found the pH for this (in #4), you subtract #4's answer from 14.
14 - (pH) = pOH

Why don't we feel the air pressing on us all the time?
marysya [2.9K]

Answer: Why don't we feel the air pressing on us all the time?

Explanation:

Because air is a fluid, the weight of the air is transmitted to the palm of your hand and to the back of your hand at the same time. These forces cancel so that your hand overall feels no net force

What is the molarity of a solution of 10% by mass cadmium sulfate, CdSO4 (molar mass = 208.46 g/mol) by mass? The density of the
Gekata [30.6K]

Answer:

a. 0.528 M ..

Explanation:

Hello!

In this case, since the given by-mass percent can be written as:

\frac{10gCdSO_4}{100g\ sol}

By using the density and molar mass of the solute, cadmium sulfate, we can compute the molarity, by also making sure we convert from mL to L of solution:

M=\frac{10gCdSO_4}{100g\ sol}*\frac{1molCdSO_4}{208.46gCdSO_4} *\frac{1.10g\ sol}{1mL\ sol} *\frac{1000mL\ sol}{1L\ sol} \\\\M=0.528M

Thereby, the answer is a. 0.528 M .

Best regards.

A lightbulb filled with argon gas has a volume of 75 mL at STP. How many moles of argon gas does the lightbulb contain?
Elan Coil [88]

Answer:

0.00335 moles

Explanation:

From the question, Using

PV = nRT................... Equation 1

Where P = pressure, V = Volume, n = number of moles of argon gas, R = Molar  gas constant, T = Temperature.

make n the subject of the equation

n = PV/RT............... Equation 2

Given: P = 1 atm (standard pressure), T = 273 K (standard temperature), V = 75 mL = 0.075 dm³

Constant: R = 0.082 atm·dm³/K·mol

Substitute into equation 2

n = (1×0.075)/(273×0.082)

n = 0.075/22.386

n = 0.00335 moles

An isotope of an element, atomic number Z, has a mass number 2z+4. How many neutrons are there in the nucleus of the element?
Svet_ta [14]

Answer:

z+4

Explanation:

An isotope of an element, atomic number Z, has a mass number 2z+4. How many neutrons are there in the nucleus of the element?o

protons + neutrons =mass number

so

z +neutrons = 2z+4

neutrons = 2z+4 - z=z+4 which is the # of neutrons in the nucle
