Hey! Since we got the mass of the basketball star as well as the acceleration. We can use Newton's Second Law to figure out the amount of force he is exerting.

F = ma
F = (120)(2.5)
F = 300N

Therefore, he is exerting 300N of force.

Calculate the amount of heat (kcal) released when 50.0g of steam at 100*c hits the skin, condenses, and cools to a body temperat
luda_lava [24]
As the steam touches the skin, it undergoes a phase change and releases latent heat due to the phase change. As it reaches equilibrium, it releases sensible heat. We calculate as follows:

Q = latent heat + sensible Heat
Q = 2.26 kJ / g (50.0 g) + 50.0 g ( 4.18 J / g C) (37 C - 100 C) ( 1 kJ / 1000 J)
Q = 99.833 kJ

One important relationship between chemical and mechanical weathering is ________. 1. mechanical weathering forms more brittle m
Paha777 [63]

Answer:

2. mechanical weathering can produce smaller pieces of rock that have more surface area for chemical weathering to work Explanation:

Mechanical weathering involves activities of living organisms or some geological processes. The bigger rocks are usually reduced to smaller rocks and further reduction might be limited or not posibble mechanically. This reduced rocks now increases the surface area available for chemical weathering; which further reduces the sizes of the rocks below the size range of mechanical weathering. one will recall that the rate of chemical reaction increases with exposed surface area.
