Answer:

x=3y-11

then now putting the value of x in second equation

4(3y-11)-3y =26

12y - 44-3y=26

9y=44+26

9y=70

y=70/9

now putting the value of y in 1st equation then

x=3*70/9-11

x=37/3

now checking this is correct or not in 2nd eqn

4*37/3-3*70/9=26

148-70/3=26

26=26

12. For angle A it is known that sin(A)>0 and tan (A) <0. If A is drawn in standard position, in which quadrant
Dafna11 [192]

Answer:

Quadrant 2

Step-by-step explanation:

Sin = opp/hyp and opp is positive in quadrants 1 & 2.

Tan = opp/adj - we need one of these values to be positive and the other negative. adj is negative in quadrants 2 & 3.

Quadrant 2 is found in both of the scenarios that we need to occur.

1. The total area within any continuous probability distribution is equal to 1.00.
olchik [2.2K]

Answer:

1. True

2. False.

3. True.

Step-by-step explanation:

1. The total area within any continuous probability distribution is equal to 1.00: it is true because the maximum probability (value) is one (1), therefore, the total (maximum) area is also one (1).

Hence, for continuous probability distribution: probability = area.

2. For any continuous probability distribution, the probability, P(x), of any value of the random variable, X, can be computed: False because it has an infinite number of possible values, which can not be counted or uncountable.

Hence, it cannot be computed.

3. For any discrete probability distribution, the probability, P(x), of any value of the random variable, X, can be computed: True because it has a finite number of possible values, which are countable or can be counted.

Hence, it can be computed.

A jewelry prism with a length of 9 inches and a height of 4 1/4 inches. The volume of the jewelry box is 283 1/2 cubic inches. W
masha68 [24]

Answer:

volume = (length × Width × height)

(567/2) = (9×) × (17/4) × (w)

283.5 = 38.25w
