The EMGs recorded in this week's lab will be from sustained voluntary muscle contractions rather than from the reflexes we have

observed in previous labs. In recordings of voluntary muscle contraction, EMG data often appear as bursts of spike-like signals (hundreds or thousands of peaks clustered together) versus the smooth EMG curves seen in reflexes. What is a reason for this?

gizmo_the_mogwai [7]

Answer: No.

Explanation:

Studying about diseases, their effect, cause and the prevention of diseases is known as Epidemiology, and the scientists that studies Epidermiology and take it as a professsion are called Epidermiologists.

From the question; assuming the epidemiologist who finds a correlation between the use of tanning beds and melanoma (an aggressive form of skin cancer) in college-age women, the Epidermiologist can NOT conclude that tanning beds cause skin cancer BECAUSE the fact that the the use of tanning beds CORRELATE with melanoma (an aggressive form of skin cancer) in college-age women does not PROOF THAT tanning beds cause skin cancer.

===>That is, the fact that something correlate with another thing does not make it the cause.

Repeated use of marijuana affects the parts of the brain that control memory, attention, and learning.
never [62]

Answer: True.

Repeated use of marijuana affects the parts of the brain that controls memory, attention, and learning. "Cannabinoids work by influencing the endocannabinoid system, specifically the brain and central nervous system.  THC gets its potent effect because it binds well with the Cannabinoid 1 receptor (known as CB1), while CBD exhibits low affinity for either CB1 or CB2 receptors. Instead, CBD acts as an indirect antagonist of these receptors."

Comparisons about cyber bullying
otez555 [7]

If you're comparing it to physical bullying then:

Cyber bullying, though digital, can still have a lasting effect on a person's emotional state. Even if it is not face to face, the person will still feel the intended way of the bully.

Physically bullying includes fighting someone head on and can cause physical damage. While Cyber Bullying doesn't start off as physical, it can encourage others that are close to you to physically bully you.

Cyber bullying and physical bullying both are intended to make the other person feel bad most likely because they feel bad themselves.

Cyber bullying and physical bullying both typically don't have a genuine reason for it's occurrence.

Hope this helped! Sorry if I took the question the wrong way!
