You are going to get a decimal.
If you divide 8 to both sides, you'll get 1.25
If you're rounding to the nearest tenth,
it'll be 1.3

Since there are no other numbers all you would have to do is divide 10 by 8 so you will get a decimal answer so h= 1.25

How many milliliters of 0.30%. sugar solution must you add to 75 mL of 4% sugar solution to get a 0.50% sugar solution? show you
LekaFEV [45]
We have 75 mL of 4% sugar solution.
We have to add a 30% sugar solution to make a 50% sugar solution.
75 * .04 + .30x = .50 * (75 +x)
3 + .30x = 37.5 +.50x
I can't get the equation to solve.
Did you type it correctly? For one thing, you have the percentages typed as .30 % and 4%. Are the decimal places in the correct positions?

Also, no matter how much 30% sugar solution you add, it will NEVER increase to 50%.

Alexandria used 1/2 of grapes and 2/3 of strawberries combined to make a fruit snack. how many cups of grapes and strawberries d
Ivenika [448]
Considering that there are 1/2 cup of grapes and 2/3 of strawberries, we can add them together to get 1 and 1/6 cups. This is done by adding 3/6 + 4/6. I'm not sure if this is correct, since it's kind of easy for a high school problem... I hope this helps anyway :D
