The correct answer is B) there were extra supplies there.

Sherman's troops were so excited about entering South Carolina during the civil war because there were extra supplies there.

General William T. Sherman led almost 60,000 Union soldiers from Atlanta to Savannah, Georgia, to scare the people from Georgia and to abandon the support to the Confederates. They marched from November 15 to December 21, 1864. The soldiers stole provisions such as food and burned barns, responding to attacks.

The other options of the question were a) they wanted to see the ocean, c) Charleston offered safety, and d) the Civil War started there. In the first days of January 1865, Marshall's troops arrive at Charleston, South Carolina.

Phoenix [80]

Answer:

Democracy is an appropriate term to use for our system of government because the whole aspect of our government is to let the people decide through voting. The people have the most power, that’s what it’s supposed to be that’s what was set in the books but sometimes government officials find loopholes to do things the American people don’t want. But the whole aspect of our government is to let the people vote and have a say in the ruling of their country.
