The baker is unable to fill ten platters of cupcakes without having 2 vanilla cupcakes left over. While 80 is divisible by 10 and comes out evenly, 72 on the other hand will leaving you with a decimal.

The greatest number of platters the baker can make without having any cupcakes left over are 8 platters. 8 is the greatest common factor between 80 and 72, and will give you 10 chocolate cupcakes and 9 vanilla cupcakes per platter.

Consider the diagram showing the path Joel biked.
Tems11 [23]

Answer:

He would 36 miles all together.

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider the diagram showing the path Joel biked. Joel biked 9 miles east and then 12 miles north. If he biked back to his starting point using the most direct route, he would have ride 36 miles all together. Joel’s starting point is x.

In order to solve this, we must use the Pythagorean theorem.

The amount of miles would be found by adding the 3 sides together to find the sum or answer.

15 + 9 + 12 = 36 miles
