Answer:

Firstly, he would have to research what price the competitors are charging, the cleaning products they are using and, if possible, what kind of cleaning method their cleaners are using. With that in mind, we would compare to his cost and know if his service is cheaper or more expensive than the market average. To minimize costs he could, for example, buy cheaper cleaning products or researching cleaning methods that use fewer chemicals. To differentiate himself, gaining a competitive edge in this market, he could offer as well a service of doing groceries for the house, giving that the majority of consumers that hire cleaning services work all the time and don’t have time to go to the market. Or he could advertise that he uses eco-friendly cleaning products, showing that his business cares about the environment.

Art [367]

Answer:

current market price = $953.29

Explanation:

the market price of the bond = present value of the face value + present value of coupon payments

PV of face value = $1,000 / (1 + 3.865%)¹⁸ = $505.31

PV of coupon payments = $35 x 12.79935 (PV annuity factor, 3.865%, 18 periods) = $447.98

current market price = $505.31 + $447.98 = $953.29

grandymaker [24]

Answer:

KJ Pharma Corporation

KJ Pharma's after-tax cost of debt is:

= 4.55%.

Explanation:

a) Data and Calculations:

Face value of the bond = $100

Annual coupon rate (cost of debt) = 6.5%

Maturity period of bond = 20 years

Tax rate = 30%

After-Tax Cost of Debt = 6.5 (1 - 0.3)

= 4.55%

b) KJ Pharma's after-tax cost of debt is the interest paid on the bond less any income tax savings accounted for as deductible interest expenses. To calculate the after-tax cost of debt, KJ subtracts the company's effective tax rate from 1 and multiplies the difference by its cost of debt.

In which of the following situations would a delegation of contractual duties be allowed? Multiple Choice A painter hired to pai
Trava [24]

Answer:

A painter hired to paint your home.

Explanation:

Delegation of contractual duty occurs when the individual that is supposed to perform a task transfers the responsibility of performing the task to another person.

For example if someone is supposed to paint a house but he has other engagements. He can delegate to another painter to perform the painting.

Delegation does not transfer contractual rights as the original person still collects payment for performance of the task.

Usually delegation can occur for tasks that do not require special skill and can be performed by anyone.

In the other scenarios special skill is required so delegation will not be usually allowed.
