Sara is taller. 160cm =160 cm while to convert inches to centimeters you just multiply. 60 x 2.54 = 152.4cm which is less than 160 so sara is taller.

Rank these photons in terms of increasing energy:
(a) blue (λ=453nm)
alexira [117]

The increasing order of photons in terms of energy is Er < Ey < Eb

A photon is a tiny particle of electromagnetic radiation and its energy is proportional to the frequency and rest mass as zero.

By using the formula:

E = h * ν

E = h * c / λ

h = planks constant

c = speed of light

Since h * c is constant

E is inversely proportional to wavelength λ

For blue:

λ = 453 nm

Eb= k / 453

where k is constant

For red:

λ = 660 nm

Er = k / 660

For yellow:

λ = 595 nm

Ey = k / 595

Therefore,

The increasing order of photons in terms of energy is

Er < Ey < Eb.

2. Why was it important to examine both the color and the streak of your minerals? Think about streak and explain why it’s calle
Delicious77 [7]
It is important to examine both the colour and the streak of a mineral because the streak may be completely different from the colour of the hand specimen.
The streak of a mineral is the color it possesses after it has been grounded to a fine powder. The streak test has to be done on minerals because it is a more reliable way of identifying a mineral with its color.

How many atoms are in a 3.5 mole sample of the element lithium?
seraphim [82]

Answer:

2.1 x 10^24

Explanation:

The number of atoms in a mole will always be the same. The fact that it's lithium is completely irrelevant.

One mole of anything is 6.022 x 10^23 atoms

So if we need to find the number of atoms in 3.5 mol we just need to multiply Avogadro's number by 3.5

3.5 x 6.022 x 10^23

= 21.077 x 10^23

To make it proper scientific notation the first number can't be greater than 10 so let's move the decimal place and increase the exponent

2.1077 x 10^24

Remove the numbers that aren't significant figures

2.1 x 10^24

Boom there's your answer
