Hi! Sorry if this is wrong, but I believe it would be f(x)= |x+5|-4. This is because it shifts to the left, so it is adding 5 to the x in the absolute value bars. And it shifting 4 units down would be negative. Hope this helps!

Answer:

f(x) = |x+5|; f(x) = |x|-4

Step-by-step explanation:

A horizontal shift (left or right) will be shown in the function within the operation applied to x.

Since the operation applied to x is absolute value, this means this shift will be shown within the absolute value bars.

A horizontal shift left means the value is added to x before the operator; this means we have x+5 within the bars, or

f(x) = |x+5|

A vertical shift (up or down) will be shown in the function outside of the operation applied to x.

For this function, this means the vertical shift will be outside of the bars; since it is a shift down, we subtract:

f(x) = |x|-4

A glass containing water is in the shape of a right circular cylinder with a radius of 3
Lubov Fominskaja [6]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation for a cylinder is the radius of the circle times pi squared, multiplied by the height. 3 squared is 9, times pi is 9(pi). If we multiply this by the height, the answer is 90(pi) centimeters in volume.

kotegsom [21]

Answer:

  20 days

Step-by-step explanation:

The number of days will be a multiple of both 4 and 5. The smallest such multiple is called the "least common multiple" (LCM). One way to figure the LCM is to divide the product of the numbers by their greatest common factor. Since 4 and 5 have no common factors, the LCM is 4·5 = 20.

Both teams will be practicing on the same day again in 20 days.
