Answer:

cell division

Explanation:

The process that the cell is undergoing is called mitosis. This is the division of a cell. In more correct terms, this is the separation and the splitting into equal number of the chromosomal material in the cell for replication to retain the full number of chromosomes in each cell. In the fourth picture of the microscope analysis, there is the metaphase stage. This is the stage the involves the separation of the chromosomes. The chromatids, the half components of the chromosomes, separate. Thus gives rise to the two sides that can then result in the two cells from one cell.

Why are biofuels derived from plants?
Lemur [1.5K]

Answer:

Biofuels are renewable fuels that are produced from biomass, organisms that were formed and stopped living a short time ago. The energy in the biofuels is called bioenergy. The major constituents of biomass are cellulose, lignin, starch and sugar, but many plants also contain other organic compounds that are beneficial for energy recovery from the material due to their physical structure and chemical composition. The difference between biofuels and fossil fuels is that fossil fuels take millions of years for new formation while new biomass for biofuels is constantly being formed. This means that biofuels can usually be considered carbon neutral as the carbon dioxide emitted during combustion is constantly bound to new biomass in a closed cycle.

Which of the following is NOT a characteristic of all animals?
velikii [3]

Answer:

They have tissues, organs, and organ systems.

Explanation:

While all animals are multicellular, heterotrophic, eukaryotic and ingest their food, not all animals have tissues, organs, and organ system.

The simplest group of animals, the sponges, are made up of several cells that have minimal interaction with one another. Hence, while sponges are multicellular, they are not at tissue level of body organization.

All the options are true for all animals except the last option.
