300 miles in 1h 40m
300 miles in 100m

300 / 100 = 3
3 miles per minute

3 x 60 = 180
180 miles per hour

I hope this helps

It takes nate four hours to paint a wall and it takes jill seven hours to paint the same wall about how many hours will it take
loris [4]

If Nate paints the wall in 4 hours, it means that he can paint 1/4 of the wall every hour.

Similarly, if Jill paints the wall in 7 hours, it means that he can paint 1/7 of the wall in one hour.

So, together, they paint the following fraction of the wall in one hour:

\frac{1}{4}+\frac{1}{7} = \frac{4+7}{28} = \frac{11}{28}.

At this rate, they need 28/11 hours to paint the whole wall, in fact, after that amount of time they paint

\frac{11}{28}\frac{28}{11} = 1

i.e. the whole wall

The length of Hillcrest Garden is 6 feet more than its width. A 3-foot wide walkway surrounds the outside of the garden. The tot
Ne4ueva [31]

Answer: The dimensions of the garden would be 18 feet and 24 feet.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the width of garden be 'x'.

Let the length of garden be 'x+6'

Since there is 3 foot wide walkway surrounds the outside the garden.

Area of walkway = 288 square feet

So, According to question, it becomes,

2z(x+y+2z)\\\\288=2\times 3(x+x+6+2\times 3)\\\\288=6(2x+6+6)\\\\288=6(2x+12)\\\\\dfrac{288}{6}=2x+12\\\\48=2x+12\\\\48-12=2x\\\\36=2x\\\\x=\dfrac{36}{2}\\\\x=18

Width = 18+6 =24 feet

Hence, the dimensions of the garden would be 18 feet and 24 feet.

What is the perimeter of figure B ?
beks73 [17]

Answer:

35 for perimeter of b

122.5 for perimeter of a

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the perimeter, you add all of the values of the outside of the shape together. Since 12+9+9+5 = 35, the answer is 35.

Okay, so what you have to do is set up a proportion for a to b. To do that, you have to have a fraction where a is the numerator and b is the denominator. 7/2 equals x/35. Then cross multiply

7*35 = 2x

x = 122.5 :)
