When you're using the bus stop method, you get the number on the outside and see how many times it goes in to the number on the inside.

22 doesn't go into 7, so you see how many times it goes into 78, and that's 3 times, with a remainder of 12 (78 - 66 = 12).

Then you add on the 12 to the next digit (which is 2), so you get 122. 22 goes 5 times into 122, with a remainder of 12. (122 - 110 = 12).

Then add on the remainder of 12 to the next digit (0), so you get 120. You have to see how many times 22 then goes into 120, which is 5 times, with a remainder of 10 (120 - 110 = 10).

Now, you have to add a decimal point to the 355 you currently have, because you now have to add a zero to 7820 to account for the remainder of 10. So add on a 0 and put the 10 in the corner, so you get 100. Now check how many times 22 goes into 100. You should get 4, with a remainder of 12.

Add on another 0 and add the remainder of 12 and you get 120. 22 goes in 5 times, with a remainder of 12, so you get 5, etc etc.

So then you get 355.45

The image above is of what you should have done, but I'll talk you through it.
First, 22 does not go into 7, so you place a 0 and carry the 7 to make 78.

22 does go into 78, 3 times. 3 × 22 = 66. To find the remainder, you do 78 - 66 = 12, so you carry the 12 and make 122.

22 also goes into 122, 5 times, because 22 × 5 = 110. 122 - 110 = 12, so you carry the 12 again and make 120.

120 is divisible by 22 also as 22 × 5 = 110, so 120 - 110 = 10, which is what you carry to make 100.

22 only goes into 100 4 times to make 88, which means that 100 - 88 = 12, which you carry to make 120, and we've already seen that 120 ÷ 22 is 5 (remainder 10).

I hope this helps!

a random sample of 4 claims are selected from a lot of 12 that has 3 nonconforming units. using the hypergeometric distribution
Sloan [31]

Answer:

The probability that the sample will contain exactly 0 nonconforming units is P=0.25.

The probability that the sample will contain exactly 1 nonconforming units is P=0.51.

.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have a sample of size n=4, taken out of a lot of N=12 units, where K=3 are non-conforming units.

We can write the probability mass function as:

P(x=k)=\frac{\binom{K}{k}\binom{N-K}{n-k}}{\binom{N}{n}}

where k is the number of non-conforming units on the sample of n=4.

We can calculate the probability of getting no non-conforming units (k=0) as:

P(x=0)=\frac{\binom{3}{0}\binom{9}{4}}{\binom{12}{4}}=\frac{1*126}{495}=\frac{126}{495} = 0.25

We can calculate the probability of getting one non-conforming units (k=1) as:

P(x=1)=\frac{\binom{3}{1}\binom{9}{3}}{\binom{12}{4}}=\frac{3*84}{495}=\frac{252}{495} = 0.51

Can someone plz help me with Algebra 2....... :) Will give Brainliest!!
Anarel [89]
Using logarithms property of log(x)+log(y)=log(xy)
so here, you can sum the equation to;
log((x+6)*(x-6))=2
so you can simply say that;
log_{8}((x+6)( x-6))=2
and by multiplying (x+6)*(x-6)
log_{8}(x^2-36)=2
and as you know also that;
a^{b}=c is same as log _{a}c=b
so you can simply state it as;
8^2=x^2-36
64=x^2-36
64+36=x^2
x^2=100
x=10
And you can check your work by substituting with 10 instead of x in the original function.
Hope this helps!

Simplify: -|-15|<br><br> please answer correctly i'll give brainliest and 5-star rating.
12345 [234]

Answer:

-15

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Definition of absolute value: </u>

<em>Distance from zero on a number line. </em>

<em />

Imagine a number line with 0 in the middle of it. Now mark the number 3 on it. Also mark the <em>opposite </em>of 3, which is -3. What is the <u>distance</u> from zero to those 2 points? it's 3.

This is exactly like saying |3| = 3 and |-3| = 3

Even if the number inside absolute value is negative, it <em><u>simplifies</u></em> to the positive of the same number.

_______________________________

So let's talk about your problem.

-|-15|

> the absolute value simplifies to 15

-|-15| = - 15

So that ends up being your answer.

-15

Hope this helps!!!!!!!

12. A road race is 15 kilometers long. After the starting line, there are water stations every
zlopas [31]

Answer:

50

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

there is 1 water station at every 0.3 KM

If there are n water stations at every 0.3 KM

then KM covered by them = n*0.3 = 0.3n

given that total KM covered is 15 km

Thus,

0.3n = 15

=> n = 15/0.3 = 50

Thus, there are 50 water stations.
