This is for #11 and #12.
First lets find the lateral area of each triangle. We will use the following formula:-
  lateral area = 4 (1/2 * base * slant height)
11. LA = 4 (1/2 * 8 cm * 7.5 cm)
           = 120 cm^2

12. LA = 4 (1/2 * 14 in * 12in ) =
       LA = 336  cm^2
   Now lets find the surface area:-
    surface area = lateral area + area of the base
   11. S.A. = 120 cm^2 + 8 * 8
            = 120 cm^2 + 64
            = 184 cm^2 S.A. = 336 cm^2 + 14 * 14
   12.     = 336 cm^2 + 196
             = 532 cm^2
Lateral Area:-
11. 120 cm^2
12.
336 cm^2
Surface Area:-
11.
184 cm^2
12. 532 cm^2

Hope I helped ya!!

What are the steps below to show the incomplete solution to find the value of x for the equation 5x - 2 x - 3 = -2 + 17?
Crank

Step-by-step explanation:

Ok so first you have to combine the like terms.

5x-2x-3=-2+17

3x-3=15

Add 3 to each side.

3x=18

Divide 18 by 3.

x=6

Hope this helps!

PLZ HELP ASAP!!!!!!!! WILL MARK YOU BRAINLIEST THX!
anygoal [31]

Answer:

The first question is the third choice. Divide by two to get proper squaring. Anytime there is a number in front of the x in a situation like that, always divide by that number on both sides first. Then go from there.

The second question is also the third choice. The square root of 64 is 8. It can't be negative because square rooting is always positive unless you want a weird "i" in there. That's for algebra 2 and beyond so don't worry about it mate.

When solving the equation, which is the best first step to begin to simplify the equation?
Marina86 [1]
That will like:
-2(x+3)=10
-2(x)-2(3)= 10
-2x-6=10
-2x+6=10+6
-2x=16
÷-2=-2
x=-8
that the way to do it.
