This is for #11 and #12.
<span><span><span><span> First lets find the lateral area of each triangle. We will use the following formula:-   <span> <span> <span><span> <span>
</span> <span> <span>lateral area = 4 (1/2 * base * slant height)
</span>11. LA = 4 (1/2 * 8 cm * 7.5 cm) <span>
           = 120 cm^2

12. LA = 4 (1/2 * 14 in * 12in ) =
</span> <span>      LA = 336  cm^2</span>
   Now lets find the surface area:-
    surface area = lateral area + area of the base
   11. S.A. = 120 cm^2 + 8 * 8 <span>
            = 120 cm^2 + 64 </span> <span>
            = 184 cm^2</span> S.A. = 336 cm^2 + 14 * 14 <span>
   12.     = 336 cm^2 + 196</span> <span>
             = 532 cm^2</span>
Lateral Area:-
11. 120 cm^2
12.
336 cm^2
 Surface Area:-
11.
184 cm^2
12. 532 cm^2

Hope I helped ya!! </span> </span> </span></span> </span> </span> </span> </span> </span>

An investment earn 6% simple interest. What amount of principal is need to have $3000 after 5 years
irakobra [83]

Answer:

The amount of $1000 principal is needed to have $3000 after 5 years.

Step-by-step explanation:

As the interest formula is

I=Prt

Where

  • P is the principle
  • r is the rate in decimal
  • t is the time in years

Substituting the following values in the interest formula and solve for P

I=$3000

r = 6% = 6/100 = 0.06

t = 5

so the equation becomes

I=Prt

3000=P\left(0.06\right)\left(5\right)

switch both sides

P\left(0.06\right)\left(5\right)=3000

P\left(0.3\right)=3000

P=10000 $

Therefore, the amount of $1000 principal is needed to have $3000 after 5 years.

how many spherical pellets of diameter 4 cm can be made out of a cube of lead for which each edge measures 27 cm ? round the ans
Harlamova29_29 [7]
<h2>587</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

       A lead cube of side 27\text{ cm} is used to make spherical pellets of diameter 4\text{ cm}.

       As the volume of lead is conserved, the volume of raw material equals the volume of finished products.

       \text{Volume of cube} = \text{Volume of spheres produced}

Let us assume that n cubes are produced. Volume of a cube of side s is s^{3}. The volume of a sphere of diameter d is \dfrac{\pi d^{3}}{6}.

       (27\text{ cm})^{3}=n\times (\dfrac{\pi (4 cm)^{3}}{6} )\\\\19683\text{ cm}^{3}=n\times (\dfrac{32\pi \text{ cm}^{3}}{3} )\\\\n=587.37

       n is rounded off to 587.

∴ 587 spherical pellets can be made.
