The purpose of the CETI program is c. to listen for signals from outer space. CETI stands for "Communication with ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence", and is a program dedicated to the search for extraterrestrial beings and intelligence. It mainly listens to sounds emitted from outer space, and analyzes/deciphers them in case they are part of another civilization.

Water flows over a section of Niagara Falls at a rate of 2.2 × 106 kg/s and falls 65 m. What is the power wasted by the waterfal
Irina-Kira [14]

Answer:

P = 1401.4 x 10⁶ W

Explanation:

Given that

Water flow rate m = 2.2 x 10⁶ kg/s

Height ,h= 65 m

Acceleration due to gravity ,g= 9.8 m/s²

The power P is given as

P= m g h

P=Power

m=Water flow rate

h=height

Now by putting the values in the above equation

P = 2.2 x 10⁶ x 9.8 x 65 W

P = 1401.4 x 10⁶ W

Therefore the power wasted will be 1401.4 x 10⁶ W.

Rest and motion are inter-related to each other, explain
mamaluj [8]

Answer:

Rest and motion are the relative terms because they depend on the observer's frame of reference. So if two different observers are not at rest with respect to each other, then they too get different results when they observe the motion or rest of a body.

Calculate the frequency of each of the following wave lengths of electromagnetic radiation. Part A 488.0 nm (wavelength of argon
Drupady [299]

Answer:

A. f=6.1475*10^{14}Hz

B. f=5.9642*10^{14}Hz

Explanation:

The frequency has an inversely proportional relationship with the concept of wavelength, the greater the wavelength, the lower the frequency. For electromagnetic waves, the frequency is equal to the speed of light, divided by the wavelength.

f=\frac{c}{\lambda}

A.

f=\frac{3*10^8\frac{m}{s}}{488*10^{-9}m}\\\\f=6.1475*10^{14}Hz

B.

f=\frac{3*10^8\frac{m}{s}}{503*10^{-9}m}\\\\f=5.9642*10^{14}Hz
