Tourism increases -> more money in the city's tourism industry -> more jobs in tourism industry and at the mall -> people move to the city -> city expands -> more jobs created -> more people come -> etc etc.
Disadvantages:
Loss of money from building a mall -> may be built on the natural environment -> people complain -> also if mall is lame nobody will come -> people loose jobs -> mall closes -> left with a big building
