To find four circumference we have to do πd as this is the law and in this scenario we are given the actual diameter which is 10 and 10π is 31.4 to 1dp.

The approximate would be 3.14 times by 10 which would make 31.4 and both my exact and approximates are close.

So the exact answer is 31.4

And approximate is 31.4

Answer: 2.) 31.41 feet 1.)

Step-by-step explanation:

1.) Divide the diameter in half, to get the radius.

10 / 2 = 5

2.) Use the circumference of a circle equation, 2\pir.

2\pi(5) ≈ 31.41 feet

3.) Remember that circumference is not in square feet, as it is the length of the perimeter of the circle, not an area.

4.) To get the exact circumference, convert 31.41 to radians.

31.41(\pi / 180) = 0.548207918

The path of a ball kicked from the ground can be modeled by the equation y=-1/4(x-2)(x-22), where x and y are measured in feet.
Charra [1.4K]

Answer:

  20 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

The value of y is zero where x=2 and x=22. The distance between those points is 22 -2 = 20 feet.

The ball lands 20 feet from where it leaves the ground.

What is the measure of angle C?
Romashka-Z-Leto [24]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Alright, lets get started.

Please refer the diagram I have attached.

The given is a right triangle.

Two sides are given as 120 and 122.

120 is adjacent

122 is hypotenuse

Using SOH CAH TOA

cosC=\frac{adjacent}{hypotenuse}

cosC=\frac{120}{122}

taking cos inverse on both sides

C = cos^{-1}\frac{120}{122}

Using calculator

C = 10.39    :   Answer

Hope it will help :)

A rectangle pool has an area of 880 square feet. the length is 10 feet longer than the width. Find the dimensions of the pool
ddd [48]
A=LW, and we are told that L=W+10

Using L=W+10 in A=LW you have:

A=(W+10)W

A=W^2+10W

W^2+10W=880, we are told that A=880 so

W^2+10W=880 now we can complete the square...

W^2+10W+25=905

(W+5)^2=905

W+5=±√905

W=-5±√905, since W>0

W=-5+√905  and since L=W+10

L=5+√905

W=-5+√905 ft and L=5+√905 ft

If we want an approximation:

W≈25.08 ft and L≈35.08 ft (both dimensions to the nearest hundredth)
