Chemical stimuli are molecules that cause a response at a cellular level primarily through cellular receptors. This happens all the time in nature - cells communicate with one another through chemical messaging. An example is an aroma molecule, such as the scent from a flower. This particular molecule is detected by the olfactory cells (those associated with the sense of smell) in your nose, producing a chemical reaction that ultimately leads to you consciously experiencing the smell.

An object initially at rest accelerates at 5 meters per second2 until it attains a speed of 30 meters per second. What distance
Tcecarenko [31]

Answer: 90m

Explanation:

Use Equation for distance:

S=a*t²/2

use eqation for acceleraton a=(Vf-Vs)/t

Vs- starting speed

Vf - final speed

a-accelaration

---------------------------------

a=5m/s²

Vs=0m/s

Vf=30m/s

use

a=(Vf-Vs)/t

to find time

t=(Vf-Vs)/a

t=30m/s/5m/s²

t=6s

Now calculate distance that object travel using:

S=(a*t²)72

s=(5m/s²*(6s)²)/2

S=90m

A cat lies on the floor. can you say that no force acts on the cat? or is it correct to say that no net force acts on the cat? e
DIA [1.3K]

Odd though it seems at first, gravity is pulling the cat down while the floor is pushing the cat up - in equal amounts. Forces are absolutely acting on the cat but they balance - so there is no net force.

A student makes measurements from which she calculates the speed of sound as 327.66m/s She estimates that her result is accurate
Dmitry [639]
In this item, there needs to be a basis as to how many significant numbers can be present in a certain figure. If the answer 327.66 m/s is to be expressed as a 3 significant figures only, the answer would have to be 328. What was done here is to simply round up the units digit of the number since the decimal place (tenths) digit has a value of greater than 4.

The answer to this item is therefore letter B.
