If x represents the number of children under three years, which equation can be used to find the value of x, where C represents the total amount of money collected from tickets that day? (54 + x)32 + (82 −
A: (54 + x)) ⋅ 44 = C

B: (54 − x)32 + (82 − 54) ⋅ 44 = C

C: (82 + x)32 + (82 − (54 + x)) ⋅ 44 = C

Their are 82 people. 54 are 12 and under. The rest are adults ($44 dollars each)

Cost of all people = (12 and under's cost) + (adults cost)

Adults cost = (82 - 54) * 44

Cost of children 3 - 12 = (54 - # of children under 3 or x) * 32

Cost = (54 - x) * 32 + (82 - 54) * 44

The answer is C.

Hope this helps

How many times can 2 1/2 be subtracted from 12 1/2
Luba_88 [7]
2 1/2 = 2.5
12 1/2 = 12.5

This means you can calculate how may times it goes in by dividing it and rounding the number down:

12.5 / 2.5 = 5

*5 can not be rounded down so it stays the same

This means that 2 1/2 goes into 12 1/2 5 times. Hope this helps! :)

Fatoring Trinomials<br> x^2+2x=-1
Musya8 [376]

Answer:

\Huge \boxed{x=-1}

Step-by-step explanation:

x^2+2x=-1

Adding 1 to both sides of the equation.

x^2+2x+1=-1+1

x^2 +2x+1=0

Factoring the left side of the equation.

x^2 +1x+1x+1=0

x(x+1)+1(x+1)=0

(x+1)(x+1) = 0

(x+1)^2 =0

Taking the square root of both sides of the equation.

\sqrt{(x+1)^2} =\sqrt{0}

x+1=0

Subtracting 1 from both sides of the equation.

x+1-1=0-1

x=-1
