You can't exactly get the trigonometric functions using a point unless it's a vector,
so tanx = -8/-6 = 4/3 and from it we can get the other functions
sinx = -4/5
cosx = -3/5
secx = -5/3
cscx = -5/4
cotx = 3/4
The answer to that problem is 27. You could divide 108 by 4 and get the answer of 27
Divide all the ratios and compare:
8/12 = 0.666
15/10 = 1.5
2/3 = 0.666
6/9 = 0.666
The one that isn't equivalent is 15 over 10
For this problem, I believe you would just have to plug in for x.
For example, -17 divided by 10 and so on.
The answer should be C, -70. -70 divided by 10 equals -7.
24 + 3x = 3x + 3(7 - 1)
Eliminate the parentheses: 24 + 3x = 3x + 3(6)
24 + 3x = 3x + 18
Subtract 3x from each side: 24 = 18
Look at that for a second. Can ANY value of 'x' make 24 equal to 18 ?
I don't think so.
There's NO number that makes the equation a true statement.
That's just another way to say: "The equation has NO solution."
