Under identical conditions, separate samples of O2 and an unknown gas were allowed to effuse through identical membranes simulta

neously. After a certain amount of time, it was found that 6.23 mL of O2 had passed through the membrane, but only 3.85 mL of of the unknown gas had passed through. What is the molar mass of the unknown gas?

You can increase the surface area of a block of ice by
lozanna [386]
Surface area of a solid object is a measure of the total area that is occupied by the surface of object.

If two objects has same mass, then smaller size particles will have greater surface area.

Thus, in order to increase the surface area of ice, one can crush it into small particles. Due to crushing, particles will break into smaller size and eventually this will result in larger surface area.

What ratio of reactants (cyclohexane and chlorine) would you use for the synthesis of chlorocyclohexane?
kobusy [5.1K]
Chlorocyclohexane is a substance synthesize through the reactants cyclohexane and chlorine. This has a chemical formula of C₆H₁₁Cl. This is a colorless liquid with suffocating odor and is used as an intermediate for the rubber chemicals and agrochemicals. Because it is comprised of one cyclohexane with the chloride replacing one of the H⁺ then, the ratio between the cyclohexane and the chlorine should be 1:1.

A/1 * B/C = D
Marina CMI [18]

As per the problem 2 moles of propane are produced when 7 moles of carbon are supplied

so if we supply 1 mole of carbon the moles of propane obtained = 2 /7

if we supply 1.4 moles of carbon the moles of propane obtained = 2 X 1.4 /7 = 0.4 moles of propane

Hence answer is propane we can produce using this reaction = 0.4 moles from 1.4 moles of carbon
