Below is the structure of Benzilic Acid and IR spectrum. First common thumb rule for elucidating IR spectrum is to find a broad and intense signal between 1690-1800 cm⁻¹, If present! Then its for Carbonyl group. Secondly, watch for broad peak around 3400-3600 cm⁻¹, peak at this frequency is given by the -OH (Hydroxyl) group of Alcohols, andthe broadness is due to Association effect (Hydrogen bonding). Third, aif a wide band between 2500-3300 cm⁻¹ is present it shown -OH of carboxylic acid.

Result:
           Carbony Group =  1640 cm⁻¹

          Carboxyl -OH Group  =  2950 cm⁻¹

          Alcohol -OH  =  3400 cm⁻¹

How much heat is required to vaporize 25g of water at 100*c
ElenaW [278]

Answer:

Heat required = 13,325 calories or 55.75 KJ.

Explanation:

To convert a water to steam at 100 degree celsius to vapor, we have to give latent heat of vaporization to water

Which equals ,

Q = mL,

Where, m is the mass of water present

L = specific latent heat of vaporization

Here , m= 25 gram

L equals to 533 calories (or 2230 Joules)

So, Q = 25×533 = 13,325 Calories

Or , Q = 55,750 Joules = 55.75 KJ

so, Heat required = 13,325 calories or 55.75 KJ.

Someone please help!!!
sveticcg [70]

Answer: The last electron will be filled in first orbital of 3p sub-shell.

Explanation: Filling of electrons in orbitals is done by using Hund's Rule.

Hund's rule states that the electron will be singly occupied in the orbital of the sub-shell before any orbital is doubly occupied.

For filling up of the electrons in Sulfur atom having 16 electrons. First 10 electrons will completely fill according to Aufbau's Rule in 1s, 2s and 2p sub-shells and last 6 electrons are the valence electrons which will be filled in the order of 3s and then 3p.

3s sub-shell will be fully filled and the orbitals of 3p sub-shell will be first singly occupied and then pairing will take place. Hence, the last electron will be filled in the first orbital of 3p-sub-shell.

PLZ HELP!!! ILL MARK BRAINLIEST!!! You read an article written by an amateur ghost hunter. It includes the following paragraph.
djverab [1.8K]

No, it is not a scientific claim. If a ghost hunter catches a voice on video like ghost hunters do you can either believe it or not. Ghosts are more of a  i believe it you dont have to type of thing becasue they have not been scientifically proven to exist.
