Answer:

Electrolytes are nothing but minerals that have electric charge when it is mixed in liquid like blood. thus the sodium and potassium electrolytes will help regulate the nerve and muscle function. They also maintain the acid-base balance by regulating the electric charge on the cells and water flow across the membrane.

Answer:

Electrolytes like sodium and potassium control the blood pH by helping to maintain acid-base balance

Explanation:

Electrolytes are minerals responsible for transporting water into our cells and also for the electrical impulses in our body, which in turn are important for muscle movements, for the functioning of vital organs and also for efficient hydration, for example.

Thus, it is possible to achieve dehydration even by drinking water. This is due to a combination of factors: low sodium concentration (eliminated by sweat and urine) and high water intake. This combination dilutes the sodium concentration. The body's automatic reaction is to eliminate water through urine and sweat, to return to balance in sodium concentration.

In addition to sodium and potassium, electrolytes such as magnesium, phosphorus, calcium and chloride are of great importance. They work in managing blood pressure and blood pH (controlling the acid-base balance), rebuilding damaged tissues, contracting muscles, hydrating, preventing cramps and producing energy. Thus, the harmonic presence of these six minerals is fundamental for the proper functioning of the body.

There are several similarities between animals and humans that you may have remarked. Humans and animals both feed, relax, imagine, and interact. We are also related in a lot of the means our bodies work.
