Answer:

Books remaining in Andrews book collection = 29 books

Explanation:

Andrews book collection contains 60 books.

He donates 15% of his books to the national library,

        Number of books to library = 60 x 15/100 = 9

Sells 1/4 of his books to a book dealer,

        Book sold to book dealer = 60 x 1/4 = 15

Sells 7 books on amazon.

Books remaining = 60 - (9 + 15 + 7)

                              = 60 - 31

                              = 29

Books remaining in Andrews book collection = 29 books

In October sally drove 560 miles in her car.
torisob [31]
The cost is £79.76. Since the car covers 560 miles and 34.5 miles is travelled by one gallon. So, dividing 560 by 34.5 we get 16.23. Since 1 gallon is 4.55 litres, 16.23 gallons is 73.8465. Now the cost of petrol is £1.08 per litre. So, multiplying 73.8465 by £1.08 we have £79.76

Given: ABCD is a parellelogram.

Prove: AB=CD and BC=DA
ozzi

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

We have given a parallelogram ABCD.

For a parallelogram,

Opposite pair of sides are parallel to each other.

i.e AD is parallel to BC and AB is parallel to CD.

From the attached figure,

∡1 = ∡4  and  ∡2 = ∡3    {If two parallel lines cut by a transversal line then alternate interior angles are congruent }

Next, AC ≅ AC  {Reflexive identity}

hence, ΔABC ≅ ΔCDA , By Angle-Side-Angle(ASA) congruent property of triangle.

Therefore, AB = CD  and AD = BC   {Proved}

Georgia out found that 2 out of 25 apples had bruiseson them. based on this information, how many apples out of 100 would be exp
TEA [102]
We just need to extrapolate the information we have about 25 apples to 100, that is we need to find a number that multiplied by gives us 100, from this original fraction, hence, we have:
2 out of 25 = 2/25
if we multiply and divide a number or fraction by the same number we do not alter its value, so we need to convert the 25 into 100, and that can be done multiplying it by 4, like so:
(2/25)(4/4) = (2*4)/(25*4) = 8/100

So if we have 2 bruised apples out of 25, then we can expect to have 8 bruised apples out of 100
