For the school banner we have:

A = w * l

Where,

w: width of the banner

l: length of the banner

Substituting values we have:

1496 = w * 44

Clearing the width we have:

w = \frac{1496}{44}\\w = 34

Then, for the cheerleaders we have:

The ratio of measures is:

\frac{l}{l'} = \frac{44}{11} = 4

Therefore, the width is given by:

w '= \frac{w}{4}

w '= \frac{34}{4}\\w '= 8.5

Then, the perimeter is given by:

P = 2l '+ 2w'

Substituting values we have

P = 2 (11) + 2 (8.5)\\P = 22 + 17\\P = 39

The area is given by:

A = w '* l'

Substituting values we have

A = (8.5) * (11)\\A = 93.5

Answer:

Its perimeter and its area are:

P = 39 inches

A = 93.5 square inches

Since you have the length and the area, you can assume the width

1496/44 = Width              Because  Area = L * W

Width = 34

So this is a ratio problem

44/11 = ratio

So, the ratio is 4:1
So since we have the width, we can divide the width of the school banner by 4 because of the scale

34/4 = 8.5 = width of the sign

The area of the sign is 8.5*11 = 93.5

and the perimeter is just that,

8.5 * 2 + 11*2 = 39

Perimeter = 39 inches

Area = 93.5 inches

Simplify by factoring. What are the excluded values? Choose all that apply.
makvit [3.9K]

Answer:

x = -2

x = 8

Step-by-step explanation:

Excluded values are the ones which make the denominator zero

3x² + x - 10

3x² + 6x - 5x - 10

3x(x + 2) - 5(x + 2)

(x + 2)(3x - 5)

x² - 6x - 16

x² - 8x + 2x - 16

x(x - 8) + 2(x - 8)

(x - 8)(x + 2)

[(x + 2)(3x - 5)] ÷ [(x - 8)(x + 2)]

(3x - 5)/(x - 8)

So excluded values are 8, -2

Q = m-a/x (solve for m)
DaniilM [7]

Answer:

m=a/x+Q

Step-by-step explanation:

Q=m-a/x

To solve this we need to isolate m so we will bring -a/x to the other side of the equal sign so it will become positive i.e. ax now will be  written as a/x+Q=m

in other wards m=a/x+Q

What is the lowest value of the range of the function
Rasek [7]

The question is incomplete. Below you will find the missing graph.

The lowest value of the range of the function shown on graph is (B) -2.

Graph is the pictorial representation of the function or mathematical relation.

The lowest value of the graph is the value of y when y=f(x) gives the least value.

From the given graph we can clearly see that at x=3 the graph of the given function approaches the least value which is -2.

So the lowest value of the range of the function shown on the graph is -2.

Hence the correct option is (B).
