To determine the number of zinc atoms from a given mass of zinc metal, we need to convert the mass into moles by using the atomic mass of zinc which is 65.38 grams per mole. Then, we use the Avogadro's number to convert it to number of atoms. It <span>represents the number of units in one mole of any substance. This has the value of 6.022 x 10^23 units / mole. We do as follows:

Moles Zn = 922 g ( 1 mol / 65.38 g ) = 14.10 mol
no. of Zn atoms = 14.10 mol Zn (</span> 6.022 x 10^23 atoms / mole<span> )  = 8.49x10^24 atoms Zn</span>

The volume of 7.91 M HCl needed to make 196.1 mL of 2.13 M HCl is ____.
kumpel [21]

Answer:

a) 52.8

Explanation:

M1V1 = M2V2

(7.91 M)(x ml) = (2.13 M) (196.1 ml)

(7.91M) (xml) = 417.693 M.ml

x ml = 417.693/ 7.91

x   =  52.8

Benzene is an organic chemical compound with the molecular formula C6H6. In the benzene molecule, carbon atoms form a ring with
Sergeu [11.5K]

Answer:

sp^2

Explanation:

Hello,

The six-carbon benzene ring contains two types of bonds: C-C and C-H bonds, that are  sp^2-hybridized σ bonds, and the six π bonds that form the aromatic ring. The σ bonds form from one s orbital and two p orbitals from each carbon, which then bond the carbon to the two carbons on either side and the carbon's single hydrogen. The remaining p orbital from each carbon atom sticks out above and below the plane of the ring; these p orbitals overlap sideways, rather than lengthwise, to form the aromatic π bond system.

Best regards.

"an acid is a substance that forms hydrogen ions when dissolved in water." this is an example of —
LenaWriter [7]

Answer is: this is an example of an Arrhenius acid.

An Arrhenius acid is a substance that dissociates in water to form hydrogen ions or protons (H⁺).

For example hydrochloric acid: HCl(aq) → H⁺(aq) + Cl⁻(aq).

An Arrhenius base is a substance that dissociates in water to form hydroxide ions (OH⁻<span>).
In this example lithium hydroxide is an Arrhenius base:</span>

LiOH(aq) → Li⁺(aq) + OH⁻(aq).

. how many lone pairs of electrons are present in the lewis structure of calcium sulfide?
miv72 [106K]
Answer:
            <u>Four</u>

Explanation:
                     Calcium Sulfide is an ionic compound made up of Ca²⁺ and S²⁻.
Ca²⁺ is formed as,

                                   Ca    →    Ca²⁺  +  2 e⁻

These two electrons are accepte by Sulfur as,

                                     S  +  2 e⁻    →    S²⁻

So, before accepting 2 electrons S was having six valence electrons, after accepting two electrons from Ca it has 8 electrons which are present in four pairs as shown below,
