First of all, keep in mind :
m --> cm = times by 100
cm --> mm = times by 10
mm --> cm = divide by 10
cm --> m = divide by 100

so we know that a square has 4 equal sides and to find the area of a square we do base*height. now these two numbers on the base and height are the same so we're basically squaring them to get the area of 81. therefore, we do the reverse so square root 81 and we get the answer 9cm

now let's convert 9cm to mm
= 9*10 = 90
area in mm = 90mm

now let's convert 9cm to meters
= 9/100=0.09
area in m = 0.09m

and finally, we already worked out the area in cm
= 9cm

hope this helped :)

AleksandrR [38]

Answer:

Maximum height of quarter tower = 9.6 inches.

Step-by-step explanation:

The thickness of a quarter = \frac{1}{5} inches

Weight of a quarter = 1 ounce

The maximum weight that could safely hold = 3 pounds.

<u>The conversion factor for ounce to pound is 1 ounce = 0.0625 pound</u>

The number of quarter used in the tower = no of ounces equivalent to 3 pounds.

No of ounces equivalent to 3 pounds = \frac{3}{0.0625}

No of ounces equivalent to 3 pounds = 48

So the height of quarter tower = 48 \times \frac{1}{5} inches

                                                   = 9.6 inches.

Make up any division equation thay has a solution of -2
Andrej [43]
-10/5 or -8/4

You can make up an equation with the solution of -2 by multiplying -2 by any number ( for example -2 x 5 ) and then divide the result by the random factor you chose ( which would be 5 in this case )

C.is decrease by 1 foot every 500 miles D. Is decrease by 1 foot every 1000 miles
Tasya [4]

Answer:

Option A

Step-by-step explanation:

Slope of a line passing through two points (x_1,y_1) and (x_2,y_2) is given by,

Slope = \frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

Line shown in the graph is passing through two points (2, 8000) and (4, 7000).

Therefore, slope of the given line = \frac{8000-7000}{2-4}

                                                        = -500 feet per mile

Which means, altitude decreases by 500 ft every mile.

(Negative sign represents the decrease)

Option A is the correct option.
