A carbohydrate molecule is (2 points) a macromolecule made of amino acids that provides structure for a cell and is not soluble

in water made up of a chain of monosaccharides that transport genetic coding from one end of the cell to another made up of the monosaccharide glucose and serves as an energy reserve in plants and animals a chain of amino acids that can be used for protein synthesis, protection, and increasing reaction speeds

Carbohydrate consists as the name as of carbon and hydrogen and oxygen in the same ratio as water (hydra). Another name for carbohydrates would be saccharides... this is for an example glucose, ribose and so on... and we use fx glucose in cellular respriation.

What is the connection between proteins, DNA, traits and genes.
liraira [26]
Answer -The connection between Protein, DNA, Traits and Genes is DNA has Chromosomes or Chromatin which is strands outside of the Nucleolus. It has coding that will be used in Protein Synthesis and which then we go into Genes which is in the Nucleolus that has controls and gives coding of Traits and other functions.

Reasoning - These are specific reasoning and pretty much sums of what are the story behind a cell.

A population of pea plants has 25% dwarf plants and 75% tall plants. the tall allele, t, is dominant to dwarf (t). what percenta
galina1969 [7]

Here we would be using Hardy Weinberg equation for the calculation of allele and genotypic frequencies.

Dwarf genotype frequency = q^{2} = 25% = 0.25

Frequency of allele t = q = \sqrt{q^{2}} = \sqrt{0.25} = 0.5

According to the equation,

p + q = 1

p = 1 - 0.5 = 0.5

Now, the frequency of heterozygous tall plants would be-

2pq = 2 * 0.5 * 0.5 = 0.5 or <u>50% heterozygous tall plants</u>.

Why are lichens called soil formers
Ipatiy [6.2K]

Answer:

Lichens are not parasitic when they grow on trees, they just use the tree bark as a home. They enrich the soil by trapping water, dust and silt. When lichens die they contribute organic matter to the soil, improving the soil so that other plants can grow there.

hoa [83]
<span>I believe the answer would be B - the toy car would hit another toy car that would in turn hit another toy car, and so on. A wave has a ripple effect, so it will continue to happen down the line, until there is a force that stops it, or there are no more cars to hit.</span>
