Answer: 37.5grams of Cu(NO3)2

Cu(1mol) + 2HNO3(2mol) —> Cu(NO3)2 + H2

<em>125 grams of Cu(1mol) reacts with 75 grams of HNO3(2mol)</em>

<em><u>HNO3 is the limiting substance, therefore, 75 grams is the limiting quantity.</u></em>

<em>Therefore, 2mol of HNO3 forms 1mol of Cu(NO3)2</em>

<em>75 grams of HNO3 forms...75grams x 1mol/2mol = 37.5 grams of Cu(NO3)2</em>

Approximately how many particles are in 2 moles?
schepotkina [342]

Answer:

1.2\times10^2^4 particles in 2 moles.

Explanation:

The number of particles that are contained in one mole, the international unit of amount of substance: by definition, exactly 6.022×10²³, and it is dimensionless. It is named after the scientist Amedeo Avogadro.

It is also known as Avogadro's constant.

∴ Number of particles in one mole = 6.022\times10^2^3

∴ Number of particles in 2 mole = 2 times Number of particles in one mole

∴ Number of particles in 2 mole=2\times6.022\times10^2^3=12.044\times10^2^3\approx1.2\times10^2^4

Hence there are 1.2\times10^2^4 particles in 2 moles.

How many molecules are there in 8.25 moles of CaHia?
expeople1 [14]

The number of molecules : 4.967 x 10²⁴

<h3>Further explanation   </h3>

A mole is a number of particles(atoms, molecules, ions)  in a substance

This refers to the atomic total of the 12 gr C-12  which is equal to 6.02.10²³, so 1 mole = 6.02.10²³ particles

Can be formulated :

N = n x No

N = number of particles

n = mol

No = 6.02.10²³ = Avogadro's number

8.25 moles of C₈H₁₈

The number of molecules :

\tt 8.25\times 6.02\times 10^{23}=4.967\times 10^{24}

2. What ions are present in what ratio in a solution of aqueous calcium chloride?
Alenkasestr [34]

Answer:

\mathrm{Ca}^{2+} \text { and } \mathrm{Cl} \text { - ions are present in } 1: 2 \text { ratio in a solution of aqueous calcium chloride. }

Explanation:

Here in Calcium Chloride ionic bond is present in between calcium and chlorine atoms. As we know according to Octet rule calcium have two excess atoms and for matching nearest noble gas electronic configuration. It donate two electrons to gain more stability and form \mathrm{Ca}^{2+}, while chlorine is deficient from one electron to meet nearest noble gas electronic configuration therefore two chlorine atoms accept excess electron from calcium individually and form two\mathrm{Cl}^{-} ions.

\text { Equation is as follows: } \mathrm{Ca}^{2+}+2 \mathrm{Cl}^{-} \rightarrow \mathrm{CaCl}_{2}

Hence aqueous solution of calcium chloride breaks the ionic bond pairing in one \mathrm{Ca}^{2+}and two\mathrm{Cl}^{-}ions: \mathrm{CaCl}_{2} \longrightarrow \mathrm{H}_{2} \mathrm{O} \quad \mathrm{Ca}^{2+}(\mathrm{ag})+2 \mathrm{Cl}(\mathrm{ag})
