The range of f⁻¹(x) is the domain of f(x) and vice versa
The domain of f⁻¹(x) is the range of f(x) and vice versa
and for every x of te domain: f(f⁻¹(x)) = x and f⁻¹(f(x)) = x

F(f-1x) will be equal to x

take a simple example

f(x) = 2x

so x = f(x) / 2

f-1(x) = x/2

f(f-1x) = 2 ( x/2) = 2 * x/2 = x

What is the product of the two integer values for $x$ for which $|x^2 - 16|$ is a prime number?
Nana76 [90]

Answer:

-9

Step-by-step explanation:

x² -16 = (x -4)(x +4)

This magnitude of this product can only be prime if one of the factors is ±1. Any other integer value of x will produce a composite number (or zero).

... For x-4 = ±1, x = 3 or 5

... For x+4 = ±1, x = -3 or -5

The values of x that are ±3 both give |x²-16| = 7, a prime.

The values of x that are ±5 both give |x²-16| = 9, not a prime.

The two values of x that are of interest are x=-3 and x=3. Their product is ...

... (-3)·(3) = -9

Equilateral triangle ABC has a perimeter of 96 millimeters. A perpendicular bisector is drawn from angle A to side Line segment
prisoha [69]

Answer:

A 16mm

Step-by-step explanation:

An equilateral triangle is a triangle that has all of its sides equal.

Perimeter of an equilaterial triangle = 3s where;

s is one side of the triangle.

Given the perimeter of ABC = 96mm

Substituting into the formula above to get s;

96 = 3s

s = 96/3

s = 32mm

Hence the length of one side of the triangle is 32mm

If a perpendicular bisector is drawn from angle A to side Line segment B C at point M, then MC will be half of BC and ΔAMC will be a right angled triangle.

Since all the sides of the triangle are equal, hence BC = 32mm. Since MC is the half of BC, then MC = 1/2 of 32mm

MC = 1/2 * 32mm

MC = 16mm

Hence the length of Line segment MC is 16mm

In-s [12.5K]
Hello,
a angle is formed on a line of 180 degrees, so what your going to want to do it since your first angle is 40 degrees subtract 40-180= 140.
