Answer : If a reactant undergoes first order kinetics and the initial reactant was R is consumed in 4 half lives then,

the first half life would undergo from 1 to 1/2R;

the second half life will go from 1/2R to 1/4R;

in third half life it will undergo from 1/4R to 1/8R;

And finally in fourth half life it will go from 1/8R to 1/16R.

So, it means 15/16^{th} is utilized and only 1/16 R remains

A scientist formulates the following hypothesis: If plants of the same species
Blababa [14]

Answer:

Growth rate

Explanation:

The responding variable, also known as the DEPENDENT VARIABLE, is the variable that responds to changes or manipulations made to another variable (independent or manipulable variable) in the experiment. It is the measured variable of an experiment.

According to the hypothesis provided for this investigation, the scientist wants to determine if the amount of fertilizer plants of the same species receive will affect their growth rate when planted in the same condition. This shows that the independent variable is the amount of fertilizer to be used while the RESPONDING VARIABLE OR DEPENDENT VARIABLE is the GROWTH RATE OF THE PLANTS because it responds to the amount of fertilizer.

a particular application calls for N2 g with a density of 1.80 g/L at 32 degrees C what must be the pressure of the n2 g in mill
baherus [9]

Answer:

1223.38 mmHg

Explanation:

Using ideal gas equation as:

PV=nRT

where,

P is the pressure

V is the volume

n is the number of moles

T is the temperature

R is Gas constant having value = 62.3637\text{ L.mmHg }mol^{-1}K^{-1}

Also,

Moles = mass (m) / Molar mass (M)

Density (d) = Mass (m) / Volume (V)

So, the ideal gas equation can be written as:

PM=dRT

Given that:-

d = 1.80 g/L

Temperature = 32 °C

The conversion of T( °C) to T(K) is shown below:

T(K) = T( °C) + 273.15

So,

T = (32 + 273.15) K = 305.15 K

Molar mass of nitrogen gas = 28 g/mol

Applying the equation as:

P × 28 g/mol = 1.80 g/L × 62.3637 L.mmHg/K.mol × 305.15 K

⇒P = 1223.38 mmHg

1223.38 mmHg must be the pressure of the nitrogen gas.
