Answer:

B. Compact Bone

Explanation:

Compact bone tissue is the strongest bone tissue type due to certain structural features. It has few spaces and serves to impart protection, support, and resistance against the stress produced by weight and movement. The compact bone tissue makes most of the diaphyses of long bones.

Osteon makes the structural unit of compact bone tissue and consists of concentric rings of lamellae present around the central osteonic canal. All the osteons of compact bone tissue are arranged in the same direction and run parallel to the length of the diaphysis of long bones which in turn impart these long bones the resistance against bending and fracture.

The thickness of the compact bone tissues and the lines of the stress in the bones vary from bone to bone giving them the additional strength.

Why doesn''t the patellar reflex happen when your leg is straight?
irga5000 [103]

The patellar reflex can be defined as the kicking movement of the lower leg which occurs with a sudden twitch when the patellar tendon of a person is tapped. This patellar tendon is present below a person's kneecap. This reflex happens only when the leg is bended. It is impossible for patellar reflex to occur if the leg is straight as the quadriceps muscles are already contracted and a sudden kicking movement of the leg in such state could not be elicited.  The patellar reflex protects the quadriceps  from stretching too much.
