I'm not sure what you mean by "across zeros" but knowing your place value helps you a lot. For example:
"What is the value of 6 in the number 2,650?"
You would say,
"The value of 6 in the number 2,650 is 600, because it is in the hundred's place."
Make sure you say hundreds and not hundredth's, because the hundredths is behind a decimal. Hope this helped! :)

A traveler traveled for 6 hours and covered a distance of 520 km. He traveled the first 260 km by car, and the rest of the way b
Shkiper50 [21]

Answer:

57.78 km/hr

Step-by-step explanation:

Total time taken, t = 6 hours

Total distance covered, d = 520 km

Distance by car = 260

Distance by train = 520 - 260 = 260 km

Train speed = x

Car speed = 2x

Average speed speed = 3x /2

Speed = distance / time

1.5x = 520 / 6

9x = 520

x = 520 / 9

x = 57.777

Average speed of train = 57.78 km/hr

What is the minimum value for h(x)=x2−16x+60?
Mila [183]
Minimum value is equal to x=8, y=-4First find the derivative of the original equation which equals= d/dx(x^2-16x+60) = 2x - 16at x=8, f'(x), the derivative of x equals zero, so therefore, at point x = 8, we have a minimum value.Just plug in 8 to the original equation to find the answer for the minimum value.
