And if we know

16 \div 2 = 8
So that means

{8}^{ \frac{1}{2} }  =  {2}^{x}
We also know that
2 \times 2 \times 2 = 8
Which is equivalent to
{2}^{3}  = 8
So if we rewrite the equation with this...

So that means
