Explanation:

The given reaction equation is as follows.

      ^{14}_{7}N + ___ \rightarrow ^{14}_{6}C + ^{1}_{1}H

As there is release of one hydrogen which shows that mass number has increase by 1 on the product side.

Therefore, particle ^{1}_{0}n must be added in order to balance the given reaction equation.

Hence, the complete reaction equation will be as follows.

      ^{14}_{7}N + ^{1}_{0}n \rightarrow ^{14}_{6}C + ^{1}_{1}H

The question ask to complete the said equation and find the best particle that could complete the equation. Base on my computation and calculation, I would say that the particle that is missing in the question is 1/0n. I hope you are satisfied with my answer and feel free to ask for more

A barium atom attains a stable electron configuration when it bonds with
Dennis_Churaev [7]

Answer;

-Two chlorine atoms

Explanation;

A barium atom attains a stable electron configuration when it bonds with two chlorine atoms.

-Barium is an alkaline earth metal, in group two of the periodic table. Like other alkaline earth metal it has a valency of two which means it reacts by loosing two electrons.

-Chlorine on the other hand is a halogen (group seven element) it reacts by gaining an electron, thus two chlorine atoms will require two electrons. Therefore, Barium would attain a stable configuration by loosing two electrons to two chlorine atoms.

How many moles of solute are contained in 200 milliliters of a 1 m solution?
Vera_Pavlovna [14]

Answer:

0.2 moles of solute are in 200 mL

Explanation:

If we assume an aqueous solution, the solvent's density is 1g/mL

Solvent's volume = 200 mL

Solvent's density = Solvent's mass / Solvent's volume

Solvent's mass = solvent's density . solvent's volume → 200 mL . 1g/mL = 200 g

1 m means molality, we have 1 mol of solute in 1000 g of solvent, but in here the mass of solvent is 200 g. Let's make a rule of three:

1000 g of solvent have 1 mol of solute

Therefore, 200 g of solvent must have (200 .1) / 1000 = 0.2 moles
